WOW a seemingly never ending list

Yeah, I would expect that there are very few large tax compliant companies out there. Smaller businesses pay their tax, either because they can't get/afford the tax planning advice that is needed to avoid the tax, or because they have people running them who pay out of principle..

Unfortunately, once a company has outside investors, there is an inevitable pressure to return as much money as possible to those investors, and one way to do that is to avoid paying tax (either because it means that you have more profit left, or because like the channel island VAT scam it means you can offer lower prices meaning more sales).

Wealthy individuals will tend to be the kind of person who will seek to avoid tax, because wealthy individuals will tend to be the kind of person who likes having loads of money, and avoiding tax will get them a bit more on top of the loads they already have.
