To sum up, chaos!! As one tweet commented, "lots of people posting, no one listening."
I couldn't keep up with it on the lap top, let alone anyone using a mobile. So i'm none the wiser of any plans for Brighton Uncut on the 30th.
Thanks to BrumProtestor for pointing me in the direction of this forum.

yeah, it wasn't as good as the #ukuncutdb - there were more people (and loads more trolls) on it this time.
Basically it seems that the idea of street theatre to turn boots into a field hospital and the idea of targetting products on supermarket shelves came out as the favoured actions.
I'm not entirely convinced on either of them - stickering products is all good afaic but it doesn't need a day of action to do it.. I think the boots thing will work great in london or other places with lots of ppl but where there are only maybe 10 or 15 it'll likely fall flat compared to occupying shops and getting dragged out of places that does at least attract a crowd
I'm not sure whether to suggest going for boots or cadbury world in brum. I was hoping the meeting would give a me a clear indication of whether to go for cadbury or the city centre.. oh well..

Really we should use IRC, or some other way to group for brainstorming sessions. No character limit, less likely for trolls etc

The turnout for the last Brighton Uncut was small to say the least, but it did attract attention & that's what's needed.

No character limit, less likely for trolls etc Have to agree - IRC is the obvious one as you can set up your own channels, & the owner can "kick" (ban) ppl. A bit more setting up required - but nothing that most ppl couldn't handle.. Having said that, it was quite fun watching the trolls run out of ideas & reduced to retweeting their own inanities!

Agree re twitter meeting hopeless. This forum is a great place to explore ideas and brainstorming over a period of a few days.
Dont like supermarket idea: will just annoy people trying to do their weekly shop. Counterproductive.
Boots idea needs too many people for us to attempt.
Regular picketting of key targets may get a bit boring but is effective. Lots of people in places like Dundee just wont cross a picket line of any sort. That and promoting a boycott of Greens shops is the main thrust of our actions.
Philip Green is still best target because of the government advisor tag. It is this hypocrasy that really annoys people

We must keep the pressure on Arcadia & Vodaphone! www.guardian.co.uk/business/2011/jan/19/national-audit-office-investigate-multinational-tax?CMP=twt_fd
